The college planning process is most effective when it begins with intention, not panic. The best time to begin college planning is before high school starts, when students can create a thoughtful four-year academic plan that supports their interests, goals, and future opportunities. Starting in 8th grade allows families to make intentional decisions about course selection, academic rigor, extracurricular involvement, and long-term planning from the very beginning. Of course, many families begin later, and that is ok. It simply means the process may be more condensed, the work may need to move more quickly, and it may limit choices.

"Working with Missy during the College Application Process with my daughter was life-saving! Missy is so knowledgeable about the process, and she helped my daughter stay on track, completing her applications, gathering her recommendation letters, etc., in a timely manner. Missy also had fantastic suggestions for college tours (how to compare, document your visits) and provided scholarship/financial aid assistance. This College Application Process, without Missy, would have been lots of tears/struggles with my daughter. Thank you, Missy, for helping us!"
